Our Short-Term Accommodation (STA) services offer a fresh approach to respite, blending practical support with meaningful skill-building. At Paylos, we provide STA that goes beyond a break from daily routines—it’s an opportunity to foster independence, build confidence, and develop essential life skills.
With two distinct properties to choose from, we deliver tailored experiences that support your goals in a way that’s engaging and impactful.

At Paylos, we know that support doesn’t have to feel clinical to be effective. Our STA services are designed to provide the best of both worlds: a fully compliant, safe environment and an engaging atmosphere where progress feels natural.
Whether you’re gaining confidence in daily tasks or learning new skills in a supportive setting, we aim to make every moment purposeful and memorable.
You can typically stay for up to 14 consecutive days under STA funding, as outlined by the NDIS guidelines. Stays exceeding this duration may require specific approval from the NDIA, depending on the exceptional circumstances and alignment with your goals.
You absolutely can choose your own activities! While we showcase adventurous experiences to highlight our creativity and capabilities, that’s not all we do. We offer all the standard activities other providers offer, with the added bonus of being able to get creative if that was something you were wanting to explore.
Yes, meals and local transportation are included in the STA cost unless specified otherwise. Paylos ensures that all essential aspects of your stay are covered, so you can focus on enjoying your time while building skills and independence.
If your friend also has an NDIS plan and wishes to access STA, we can help arrange a group STA experience, which is encouraged by the NDIS. However, it's important to note that STA funding is intended to provide respite for your informal supports, such as parents or carers. This means your informal supports cannot attend the STA with you, as it would not meet the requirement of providing them with a break. Contact us to explore options for a group STA that aligns with NDIS guidelines.
Paylos is a registered NDIS provider for Short-Term Accommodation (STA), and we facilitate our STA programs through two NDIS-approved properties. While our programs are designed to be engaging and memorable, they are also carefully structured around building your capacity and meeting your NDIS goals. We ensure that all activities are aligned with your plan’s objectives, making sure everything is in full compliance with NDIS guidelines.
Being compliant doesn’t mean that you can’t have fun! Compliance is our priority, and once that’s well established, we aim to stand out by offering unique experiences. We believe in the power of being outdoors, connecting with others, and enjoying nature—activities that not only meet your goals but also help decrease things like video game addiction and excessive screen time. Choosing the outdoors doesn’t make it a holiday; it’s about providing meaningful and impactful activities within the boundaries of compliance. We want you to enjoy your time while building valuable life skills.
We are very clear on what can and cannot be funded, ensuring that your STA funding is used appropriately. For example, we do not allow funding to be used for holidays, hotel accommodation, cruises, or flights. By focusing on compliance first, we ensure that your experience is both valuable and memorable.
No, STA funding cannot be used for holidays or leisure-focused activities like cruises. STA funding is intended to provide short-term respite, skill development, or independence-building support, all of which must align with NDIS guidelines and your specific goals.
At Paylos, we will only facilitate STA through our two registered facilities, ensuring that all activities are compliant with NDIS requirements. This allows us to provide a structured, supportive environment that focuses on your capacity-building needs while maintaining full transparency and accountability regarding how funding is used.
We get it. At Paylos, we truly understand the unique challenges people face when trying something new.
